Sarah Michielsen (1980) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Brussels. Her practice sits at the intersection of art and care, with a particular focus on socially engaged art in prison, care institutions and community settings. Drawing on elements from creative therapy and body work, she developed her own practice, rooted in a sensitive way of relating — to materials such as textile, natural dyes and wool, as much as to people.
